ONLY ONE PERSON— THE WORLD.
Wiicn a person considers himself, a poor, weak, frail creature and then
looks out over a world with its billion, five hundred million inhabitants,
ho feels very small, very weak. lie naturally says, “What can I do?”
Yet God calls on each one of us to make an impression on this world
and has promised to help us if we will abide in Him and let Him abide
in

Noah, Abraham, Joseph, David, Daniel and thousands of others,
what would they have done without God ? Later, how despised Buu-
yan, Carey, Jtidson, Yates, if they had not worked with and for God!
Who can estimate the forces of good from the widow’s mite? It is
marvellous how God can use us and our mites if we will only let Him.
Hut the heart must be right l>ofore Him.
At the opening of a new year, aro you in a position to be used ? He
wants you. I le would use you. Will you present yourself before Him,
emptied of self, that He may fill you ? lie wants to reach a lost world
this year as never Ixifore. Will you earnestly, honestly, right now at
the o|H.*ning of the year, on bonded knee, say to God, “Oh Lord, here am
I, tnko mo and uso me for Thy Glory, that the world may be made bet¬
ter because of my life?” If each of us will do this, the world will
indeed le made vastly letter and our God will be glorified.

WEEK OF PRAYER.
We have need to keep very close to God when wc do mission work.
The Foreign Board, on the first week in the year, has a prayer ser¬
vice day in the mission rooms. Will not our people all over the
land join us in meeting around God’s throne and asking His guidance
and blessing,
Monday, 12:30, Thanksgiving and prayer for the Holy Spirit.
Tuesday, 12:30, Prayer for souls to be converted.
Wednesday, 12:30,
