3ust about anywhere
With 1.34 billion people, China remains the most
populous nation on earth. Yet Chinese are people who
can also be found in cities and communities throughout
the U.S., Canada and just about anywhere else in the
world. In North America, significant Chinese populations
live in New York, Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los
Angeles and Houston including more than 757,500 Chinese
students. Huge pockets can also be found throughout
Europe in Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and the
United Kingdom. Chinese live in many African countries
as well with 500,000 in South Africa alone. More than
25 million live in Southeast Asia. In Latin America, 300,000
live in Lima, Peru. Cuba is home to 770,000, and more than
250,000 reside in Brazil. There is great need for
Christians to commit to reaching the Chinese
Diaspora.
Prayer profiles for specific groups can be

information on engaging one of these groups
with the Gospel at eastasianpeoples.imb.org/embrace.

Intentional witness
One might never guess that the unassuming Chinese
man, seated among classmates during the intensive
house-church training in China, had earned a Ph.D. in the
U.S. and had followed that with a successful career there.
