Regular meeting of Board, opened with prayer by Bro. Grace.
Present, Brethren Hutson, Willingham, W. H. Smith, W. R. L. Smith, Ray, Porter, Winston, Pollard, Grace, Ball, Harris, Mathews, Knight, Ryland, Ramsey [sic] & Durham._ Prest. Hutson in the chair, and in the absence of the Recording Sec�ry, R. R. Gwathmey was called to act in his stead._

Report of Corr. Sec�ry on condition of the finances showed considerable increase of the debt of the Board. He also asks the Board to define its policy as to the matter of Insurance of the property of the Board, it having heretofore carried its own Insurance._ Upon motion of Dr Ramsey [sic], the policy of the Board was continued as heretofore._ He also called attention to the matter of the missionaries asking individual appropriations on account of sickness or other causes - and on motion, the following resolution was adopted, �That in any case where a missionary belonging to a mission on the foreign field desires to make a request for a special personal appropriation, the Board would have him first make the request of his mission, and have it pass on
