Foreign Mission Board Rooms,
September 13, 1938,
The Foreign Mission Board met in regular monthly session on September
13th at 4:00 P, M, in the Board Rooms with President Jenkins presiding.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Dr, Loving,
The following were present: Brethren Gwathmey, Wood, Coleman, Loving,
Bryant, Jenkins, Adams, Harris, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Wicker and Mrs. Moore;
also Executive Secretary, Dr. Maddry, Executive Assistant, Miss Ford, Home
Secretary, Dr. Jones, and Treasurer, Mr, Buxton,
Dr. Maddry reported briefly on his visit to Africa and Italy. A full
report of his trip will be made at the meeting of the full Board in October.
Dr, Maddry also made a report on the yellow fever situation in Nigeria
and on the death of two of our missionaries from that disease. It was voted
to refer this report back to the Board's attorney and the Administrative
Committee with power to aot.
The treasurer's report was adopted as follows:
