Dr. Weeks opened the meeting with prayer.

The report of the Committee on China was
read by Brother L.H. Jenkins ana adopted as follows:
WE RECOMMEND:
1. That the Board agree -to Dr. R.T. Bryan's
accepting temporarily the call to service by the Southwes¬
tern Baptist Theological Seminary, it being understood
that the Southwestern Seminary will pay Dr. Bryan's
salary during that time.
2. That the following special medical al¬
lowances be granted: $175 to pay hospital expenses of
Mrs. J.R. Saunders ; $340 to pay medical bills incurred by
the Britton family.
3. That $300 be appropriated to make neces¬
sary repairs upon the home of J.R. Saunaers , Canton»
4. That the Board concur in the recommendaw
tion of the North China Mission that Tengchow be discon¬
tinued as a main station as soon as practicable.
5. That $1,283.25 (gold) be appropriated
to Dr. Edwin Dargan Smith for surgical ins truments .books,
and other hospital supplies, and this amount be charged
against the Equipment Fund for the Kweilin Hospital.
6. That the furlough of Miss Hannah Fair
Sallee be extended one year in order that she may com¬
plete her training for her work in connection with Eliza
Yates Girls' School, Shanghai.
7. That Dr .Ray be authorized to spend such
a part of $500 as may be necessary in securing in Japan
and China, material for exhibit purposes.
