The meeting was opened with brief devotional
exercises. First a prayer of thanksgiving by Brother
Joshua Levering of Maryland, for the freeing of the Board
from the incubus of debt. After a song, Brother 17. F.
Powell of Tennessee, led a prayer for guidance in this
session of the Board.
