Board Rooms, V/e dnesday, Oot. 12, 1932.
The Board met in^annual session at 9.30 A.M. On account
of the absence of the' President and Vice-President, Dr. J. L.
White was chosen to take the chair until the organization
oould be perfected.
The devotional exercises were led by Brother Fred. F. Brown
of Tennessee.

The minutes of July 14th were read and approved.
Under the head of election of officers, the folowing
were elected: President: L.H. Jenkins; Vice-President: J.H.
Anderson; Recording Secretary: W. A. Harris.
Brother Fugate, Chairman of the Committee on Executive
Secretary, reported for the Committee the name of Brother
Charles E. Maddry. After a full, frank and extended discus¬
sion, hennas unanimously elected.
Brethren Montague, Kester and Gibson were appointed a
committee to consider and recommend changes in our By-Laws
necessary in reorganizing the Board.
The Board adjourned for lunch.
AFTERNOON SESSION.
The devotional exercises were conducted by Brother
Y/ade Bryant.
The committee appointed to report on changes in the
By-Laws reported as follows:
To the Foreign Mission Board:
Your Committee, appointed to consider certain sug¬
gested amendments to the By-Laws of the Board, recommend that
section four of the By-Laws be amended to read as follows:
Section 4. The officers shall be President,
Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Executive
Secretary, Assistant Executive Secretary, or Assistant Exec¬
utive Sec re tail qs and Auditor. All of the officers shall be
elected by the Board at the next regular meeting following
the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, or at
an adjourned meeting thereof, to serve one year and until the
election of their successors.
A committee consisting of Brethren J.L.Y/hite, Fugate
and Matthews was appointed to send to Brother Gaines an ex¬
pression of sympathy for the Board.
Bro. T. B. Ray was unanimously elected Asst. Executive
Secretary.
Bro. Ernest P. Buxton was elected Treasurer and
Brother B.M. Gwathmey was elected Auditor. Brother Hill Mon¬
tague was elected Attorney.
