The regular meeting of the Board was held Monday Nov. 5" at 4 1/2 o clock P.M.
Present, brethren Harris, Tupper, Matthews [sic], Thomas, Pitt, Cooper Pollard, Williams, Clopton, C. H. Winston, Burnett, Ryland, Shipman, Hutson, Hatcher & Clarke.
Prayer was offered by bro. Joel B. Watkins.
The Treasurer made the following report:

The application of bro. T. Pritchard for a young man of his church was referred to committee on New Missions &c.
Application of Bro. Given of Ky referred to Com. on Agencies.
The Cor. Sec reported cablegram from Bro. David; on his way home.
The application of the Executive Com. of Woman's Miss. Societies for further appropriation of $100 for expenses referred to Com. on Woman's Work, with power to act.
A letter from Rev. A McLean, Cor. Sec'ty of Foreign Christian Miss. Society of Cincinnati O. concerning bro Cook, former Missionary of this Board, was mentioned by the Cor. Sec'ty, and on motion the Cor. Sec'ty was requested to answer the letter unofficially.
The Cor. Sec'ty reported that the Friendship Association of Ga. would discontinue support of Sr. Rodrigues in Mexico.
The Cor. Secty. read a letter from Miss Mary C. Tupper offering her resignation as missionary of the Board and as Cor. Sec'ty of the Central Committee.
On motion the following resolution was adopted.
Resolved, that the Board, with the greatest reluctance and the deepest regret, accepts the resignation of our sister Miss Mary C. Tupper missionary to Mexico, and,
That the Board takes this action, simply because it is satisfied from her own interest in Mexican Missions, as well as from the statements of her father, our Cor. Sec'ty she would not have offered it, unless she had deemed it absolutely necessary.
