The Board met in called meeting, the President
in the chair.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Brother
Waits , especially for the family of Brother W.Y.duisenberry,
whose death occurred on yesterday in a hospital in Lees¬
burg, fa.
The following were present: Clark, V/oodfin,
Jenkins, Waite , Gaines, Mrs. Thomas, V/.H. Moore, Montague.
Also Secretaries Love and Bay, Treasurer Sanders.
The question of selling certain stock in the
Bey no Ids Tobacco Co. was discussed, and the following reso¬
lution was unanimously adopted:
RBSOLVBD, by the Foreign Mission Board
of the Southern Baptist Convention, That one hundred
and eighty-seven (187) shares of the common stock of
B.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and eight hundred and
twenty (82Q) shares of the Hew Class !,B" stock of B.J.
Reynolds Tobacco Company, now standing in the name of
the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Conven¬
tion, be sold at the current market price and that George
N. Banders, Treasurer of this Corporation, be, and he is
hereby, appointed attorney in fact for it, with full
authority to sell all or any part of said stock and to
assign to the purchaser or purchasers the stock certifi¬
cate or certificates for the shares so sold. Hereby
ratifying and confirming the acts and doings of our said
attorney in fact in making any and all such sales of
said stock of the B.J «Reynolds Tobacco Company, owned
by this Corporation.
On motion of 3rother Montague, it was voted
that any bid received for this stock be referred to the
Committee on Home Departments.
On motion of Mr. L. Howard Jenkins, seconded
by Mr. Hill Montague, and carried by unanimous vote
of the Board, the offer of Powell Briscoe and C.M. Becker
to lease for oil and gas purposes from the said Foreign
Mission Board of Southern Baptist Convention.
Bast Half of northeast Quarter, and north¬
west Quarter of northeast Quarter of Section
Two (2), Township One (1) north, Range Six (6)
West; and South Half of Southeast Quarter, and
northwest Quarter of Southeast Quarter, and
Bast Half of northeast Quarter, and north¬
east Quarter of Southwest Quarter of north¬
east Quarter of Section Thirty-five (35); and
Southeast Quarter, and Southeast Quarter of
northeast Quarter of Section Twenty-six (26);
and Jest Half of West Half of northwest Quar¬
ter of Section Thirty-six(36) , all in Town¬
ship Two (2) Ilorth, Range Six(6) West, and con¬
taining 570 acres, more or less, in Stephens
County, Oklahoma,

accepted and the President and Secretary of tiie Foreign
Mission Board of Southern Baptist Convention were di¬
rected to execute, acknowledge and deliver good and
sufficient oil and gas lease, and abstracts for exami¬
nation of title.
Brother Montague brought to the attention
of the Board the claim which is being made by Mr. C.L.
Cole, an attorney-at-law of 'Jest Point, for $1,600
as commission c the sale of the Johnson Sand land in
King and Queen
