The Foreign ’'ission Board met in regular monthly session at h:00 P. M. on Thurs¬
day, November 13, 19U7 , with Mr. Jenkins presiding.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Dr. Gaines.

Dr. Rankin stated that he had no report to make and wanted to give his time to
Dr* Sadler.
On motion of Mr. -,ontague it was voted to adopt the following report of the
Administrative Committee:
ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE REPORT
Recommendations :
1. That the missionaries on furlough be granted a 20$ supplement in salary,
effective January 1, 19U8 , rather than the present 10$ supplement.
2. That the following allocations be made from Fonvard Movement Funds:
Spain . §12 $, 000
Advanced Seminary, China . 125,000
Purchase of Property, Wusih, China . . . 25,000
South America (to be designated later) . 100.000
Church Building Loan Fund, Hawaii . . . 15,000

3. That §120,000 additional be allocated out of Rehabilitation Funds
for Japan in keeping with the needs as outlined by Dr. Cauthen and Mr.
Dozier for the balance of 19lj7 and 19i|8.
It. That 3268.70 be granted to care for the expenses of freight for Mr.
and Mrs. Kermit Schmidt from Rio to the United States and $32h.36 for
expenses in connection with the medical examination of Mrs. Schmidt at
the Scott and White Clinic in Texas.
5. That $7,000.00 additional be appropriated for building the Sabadell
church in Spain.
6. That §7,500.00 be appropriated to eouip the clinic for Dr. and trs.
Fasulo in Rome, Italy.
7. That approval be given to the contribution of §1,000.00 made by Dr.
Sadler to the British and Foreign Bible Society in Spain and that this
amount be repaid to John D. Hughey, treasurer for Spain.
8. That we decline to accept trusteeship as set up in the will of Miss
Varir.a D. Brown.
Dr. Sadler reported on his recent visit to our work in Nigeria, Spain and
Italy.
Dr. Means reported that the scheme of departmental orgar.i-ation for the
Department of Education and Promotion had been completed.
