Minutes of the May 4, 1878 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

A called meeting of the Board was held on Saturday, May 4th at 10 oclock. A.M. Present. Brn: Curry, Tupper, Warren, McDonald, Dickinson, Clarke, Ellyson, Goddin, Evans, Williams & Gwathmey. Prayer by Bro. Ellyson. Brn: M. Hatcher and E. Harrison were present, and invited to sit with the Board. The annual report of the Treasurer, and the an: report of the Board prepared by the Cor. Sec. were read: and on motion, were adopted for presentation to the Convention. At the request of the President, Bro. Hatcher led the Board in thanksgiving, and in prayer for the Divine blessing upon their labors during the past year. On motion letters from Bro. Geo. B. Taylor announcing the purchase of a Chapel in Rome, were referred to the Committee on European Missions. And then the Board adjourned with benediction by Bro. Harrison. J. L. M. Curry, Pres. W. H.
