Pres. made some remarks as to the new year's work before us, and the appointment of Coms.
Dr. Hawthorne offered his resignation as a member of the Brd, being pressed with other duties. On motion same accepted.

Cor. Sec. reported:
1. A Com. at the recent meeting of the S. B. Convention at Hot Springs, as authorized by the Brd, examined Rev. Frank Marrs & wife of Del Rio, Texas, for appointment as missionaries & recommend their appointment. On motion of Dr. Thomas this recommendation adopted. On motion of Cor. Sec. Bro. Marrs & wife were assigned to Mexico, the definite field to be named later.
2. Miss Claudia White of China attended the Convention, & her presence there, as attested by many, was of great benefit to the the cause of Missions. On motion of Dr. Pollard it was agreed to send her a check for Sixty Dollars, to help defray her travelling expenses.
3. An application has been recd from Bro. C. D. Gitt of No. Danville, Va, for the loan of curios
