Minutes of the May 15, 1934 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

Fort Worth, Texas .Tuesday, A Special Called Meeting was held in the study of Dr. V/. R. White, Fort Worth, Texas, on May 15th, 1934, examine Miss Kathleen Manley for appointment as a nurse to our hospital at Ogbomoso, Africa* to There were present Brethren John Vines, W. R. White, Edgar Godhold, J. W. Storer, Kyle Yates, Charles E. Maddry, Mrs. R. L. Harris of Tennessee, and Miss Jessie R. Ford. Miss Manley was requested to make a statement as to her call for foreign mission service, etc. She made quite a full statement with reference to her conversion, education and missionary call. Dr. Maddry questioned her as to her doctrinal beliefs, which she answered in a satisfactory manner. After Miss Manley had been requested to leave the room, Dr. Maddry read to the committee the recommendations from her references, all of which were most excellent. Mo¬ tion was made and adopted that Miss Manley be appointed as a regular missionary of the Foreign Mission Board.
