The Board met in regular session at 4 P.M.
with the President in the chair.
The meeting was opened with prayer

The following were present: Mrs. Y/icker, Mrs.
Thomas, Miss Foster, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Moore, Y/illiams,
Bryant, Matthews, Gaines, Coleman, Cousins, Gwathmey, Jenkins.
Also Secretary Maddry, Office Secretary Miss Ford, Treas¬
urer Buxton.
At the request of Dr. Maddry, the meeting of the
Board in June was moved to June 7th from the regular date,
June 14th.
Dr. Maddry reported- several special contribu¬
tions for our work.
On motion, Dr. Maddry was asked to convey the
thanks of the Board to the Sunday School Board for their
generous contribution to keep from closing the publica¬
tion work in the Mexican Publishing House, El Paso, Texas.
On motion, Brother T. B. Stover was elected as
Head of the Publishing House, Rio.
On motion, Miss Kathleen Manley was invited to
appear before those members of the Board attending the
Convention at Fort Worth with view of appointment to
Africa. This is because of the urgent need of a nurse
in Africa at this time.
The report of Miss Coleman, Publicity Secretary,
was filed.
On motion of Brother Williams, the Secretary
was asked to write a letter of interest and sympathy
to Dr. Tilden Smith on account of his illness.
