The regular monthly meeting of the Board was held on Monday March 2nd at 4 1/2 oclock P.M.

Prayer by Bro. Bitting. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer presented his monthly report as follows:-

The Cor. Sec. presented a letter from Bro E. Z. Simmons, asking permission of the Board to visit California on account of the failure of his wife's health, which was granted.
The annual reports and estimates from the several Missions in China, were referred to the Com'tee on China Missions.
The special Com'tee appointed at the last meeting made the following report, which was adopted.
The Com'tee to whom were referred the subjects of "a year for our accounts with our Missionaries", and our engagement to make advance payments to our Missionaries" report:-
1. With regard to the former subject,
1. That our year for Accounts with our Missionaries shd. correspond with their year, which is the Calendar year.
2. That appropriations for following year be sent to Missionaries immediately after Board meeting in Oct. of each year.
3. That the estimates of the Missionaries be forwarded by them, say 15th of July of each year.
2. With regard to the other subject,
1. That the Rome Chapel fund, from which loans have been made, amounting to some $7,000 for general Missions, be restored with interest before the 1st April, and that the Treasurer be authorised if necessary to borrow money for the purpose.
2nd The Com'tee beg further time to consider the matter of our present obligation to our Missionaries, and advanced payments to them.
