EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - Baker J. Cauthen
REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
We are delighted today to report that Mr. Carl Johnson has been elected
unanimously by the Foreign Mission Board to the post of Senior Assistant
Treasurer and Treasurer-Elect.
We are very happy in this development. Mr. Johnson is a highly qualified
man for the responsibility to which he comes and brings with him a deep
dedication to our Lord's work and wide experience in Baptist service. His
service will begin with the Foreign Mission Board on May 1.
Following the meeting of the Board in February when he was elected to this
post continguent upon a favorable ballot poll from the full Board, a letter
was written immediately to all Board members enclosing a resume of Mr. John¬
son and a ballot requesting response as early as possible. We were very
pleased when the response indicated unanimous agr-CTment bv every Board member.
We are pleased to present Mr. Johnson today, and he will be with us _r t.
meeting of the Board in Kansas City where all Board members will be able to
greet him.
