Foreign Mission Board Rooms

. The Foreign Mission Board met in regular monthly session on Thurs¬
day, March 12, at 4:00 P. M. with President Jenkins in the chair.
™here were present Brethren Jenkins, Gaines, Loving, R. Aubrey
Williams, Bryant, J. C. Williams, Prickett, Seever, Montague, Buxton,
Gill, Sadler, Maddry, Mrs. Atkinson, Miss Foster, Mrs. Moore and Mrs.
Wicker.
Iho meeting was opened with prayer by Dr. Loving.
The minutes of the meeting of February 12 were approved as read.
Dr. Maddry reported the receipt of $20,000 from the Spight Estate
for the salaries of new missionaries, also $8,600 from other sources for
new missionaries.
Dr. Maddry reported that Dr. Rankin and five other missionaries were
in Stanley Prison in Hong Kong. He stated that a message from J. T.
Williams in Shanghai brought good news concerning our missionaries' safety.
Dr. Sadler reported on a recent trip to Washington and brought news
that the Department of State was working on plans for the exchange of
American and Japanese citizens in certain areas, including nong Kong.
On motion of Dr. Loving it was voted to accept the resignation of
Rev. and Mrs. H. Leo Eddleman of Palestine.
TREASURER' S On motion of Brother Gaines it was voted to receive and file the
REPORT report of the treasurer;
