Board Rooms, June 7, 1934.
The Board met in regular session at 4 P. M. ,
the President in the chair.
The following were present: Jenkins, Mrs.
Thomas, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Wicker, Miss
Foster, Dr. Loving, Slaughter, Cousins, Coleman, Monta¬
gue, Gwathmey, Harris, Williams. Also Secretary Maddry
and Office Secretary Jessie Ford and Treasurer Buxton.
The minutes of May 10th and May 15th were read
and approved.
The Board approved the recommendation of Sec¬
retary Maddry that the October meeting he held Oct. 16th
and 17th.
The motion was passed that the President and
Secretary Maddry select the persons to he added to the
Board of Founders of Shanghai University. Mr s. A. F. McMahon,
Mrs.. R.L. Harris, Dr.C.E. Maddry, Dr. W.O. Carver. .selected as members.
On motion it was voted that Brother H. M. Fu¬
gate, Mrs. A. F. McMahon, Mrs. Ben Thompson, Louie D.
New.ton, Dr. Ellis Fuller, he appointed a committee to
conifer with Miss Ray as to her beliefs, etc., and report
their recommendation to this Board.
The Secretary recommended the following as mem¬
bers of the commission to China; Rev. !• Clyde Turner,
Dr. J. B. Weatherspoon and Miss Blanche S. Y/hite.
On motion the following were approved as auxil¬
iaries of John iake., Incorporated:

On motion the President was authorized to
countersign checks during the absence of the Executive
Secretary.
The Secretary and President were authorized to
sign a letter commending our Secretary Dr. Maddry to our
brethren in the countries he may visit.
