The Board met on monday afternoon June 6th at 4 1/2 oClk.
Present. Brn: Curry, Tupper, Pollard, Wortham, C. H. Winston, Williams, J. B. Winston, Hutson, Cottrell, Ellyson, Jones, Harris, McDonald, Hatcher, Clarke, Watkins and Gwathmey. Also Bro. W. D. Thomas V. Prest. & Brn. R. H. Graves, C. C. Bitting and T. W. Sydnor, who were invited to seats.
Prayer by Bro. Bitting. Minutes of two last meetings were read & approved.

On motion, the President was requested to appoint a Standing Committee on "Woman's work."
Letters from Brn. B. P. Yates and David were referred to the Comtee on African Missions.
The Cor. Sec. stated that he had learned that Rev T. W. [sic] Westrup had accepted an appointment from the American Baptist Home Mission Society. On motion, the matter of a Missionary to Mexico, was referred to the Com'tee on Mexican Missions.
A letter from Bro. W. B. Bagby together with sundry documents in regard to the Brazilian Mission was referred to the Comtee on Brazilian Missions.
Letters from Bro. Crawford and other Missionaries in China were referred to the China Mission Com'tee with power to act in regard to the return of Mrs. S. J. Holmes to this Country. The financial report of Bro. Geo. B. Taylor, and other papers were referred to the Committee on European Missions.
Several applications for Missionary appointment were referred to the Committee on New Missions and Missionaries.
On motion, certain other actions of the S. B. Convention on the subject of "reaching the Masses" was referred to a joint Committee, consisting of the Com'tees on Publications & Agencies. On motion, a paper adopted by the Convention on "Woman's work" was referred to the Com'tee to be appointed on woman's work.
