The Board met in regular session at 8 P.M. with
the President in the chair.
Brother W.D. Powell led the devotions of this opening
session*

The Board went into executive session and the follow¬
ing officers were elected:
President: Prof. R.E. Gaines,
Vice-President: Joshua Levering.
Recording Secretary: W. A. Harris.
Auditor: B.M.Gwathmey.
Attorney: Hill' Montague.
Treasurer: E.P. Buxton.
On motion of Brother Woodfin -it was voted that a
committee of seven be appointed to make a recommendation
for secretaries of the Board. The following were ap¬
pointed as this committee:
L.H. Jenkins, Forrest Smith, J.H. Anderson, S.B.
Cousins, J.L. White, W.T. Clark, B.M.Gwathmey.
Dr. Cousins reported for the committee appointed to
recommend a Promotional Secretary that the illness and death of
Secretary Love had so changed the situation that it did not
seem Justified in continuing its quest and he asked that the
committee be discharged.
On motion, this was done.
The report of the Administrative Committee was read
by Brother Jenkins and was adopted as follows:
Resolved, that it is the concensus of the Ad¬
ministrative Committee that the will of Ann H. Dreseker, late
of the city of Selma, Ala. , be construed by a court of compe¬
tent Jurisdiction before the Foreign Mission Board can
properly determine what should be done by it as to the
property involved, in which it may possibly be a residuary
legatee along with others.
Resolved, that the Treasurer, Mr. E.P. Buxton,
be and is hereby authorized and directed to apply to the
Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States for
the payment of the cash values of policies

#2277 285 on the life of George N. Sanders, such cash
values to be calculated as of the date to which premiums
are paid on such policies less a discount charge for the
prepayment of the said values due to policies being termi¬
nated at this time instead of being terminated as of the
dates to which premiums have been paid. The premiums on
policy 1682 311 are paid to January 4th, 1929, while
the premiums on policy 2277 285 are paid, to September 28th,
1928.
