Foreign Mission Board Rooms
June 12, 1941
The Foreign Mission Board met in regular monthly session on Thurs¬
day, June 12, 1941, at 4:00 P. K.
There were present Brethren Jenkins, Bryant, Loving, Seevor, Mon¬
tague, J. C. Williams, Haines, Priekett, R. Aubrey Williams, Coleman,
Alley, Sadler, Kaddry, Deane, Mrs . Moore, Miss Foster, and Mrs. Wicker.
The meeting vss opened with prayer led by Brother Bryant.

The Executive Secretary reported that permission had been granted
by the State Department for ". T. Pankin and Charles L. Culpepper to
make a trip into Free China.
On -'lotion of Brother J. (.'• , .i Ilians it was voted that the natter
of the letter of Fay 20, 1941, from J. E. Davis be referred to the
I.a tin t moriep Committe for further consideration and study and that the
Latin America Committee moke a report on the matter at the July meeting
of the Board.
On. motion of Brother Haines it was voted that the Executive Sec¬
retary be authorised to send $100.00 to Rev. and Mrs, II. F. William¬
son, with tho statement that this is an emergency donation from the
Board until the Board can cone to some better understanding with refer¬
ence to the r guest of : rs. 'Williamson that th -y be placed on pension,
and that the natter be referred to the Administrative Committee.
On motion of Brother Loving the following recommendation of the
Appointment Committee was adopted;
The Appointment Committee has thoroughly examined the following
candidates and roco; mends them for appointment as missionaries of this
Board:
Rev. and Mrs. Samuel A. 3a -by, Brazil
Rev. Stephen Jackson, Brazil
Miss Pauline Sheriff, Brazil
Mrs. Anne Sowell Margrett, Argentina
Dr. John Henry Miller, China
Dr. J. 0. Loving, Chairman.
Dr. Sadler re-orbed that tie five missionaries who were on the
ill-fared ZAKZAfi wore safe and that three of the party were on the way
back to America and If:

others would follow shortly. I!o further re¬
ported that it had been necessary for Rev. and Mrs. Roy F. S tanner to
withdraw from Bucharest and for Rev. and Mrs. Roswell Owens and Miss
Kate Ellen Oruvor to withdraw from Palestine, but no information has
beer, received as to the whereabouts of these missionaries. Rev. and
Mrs. John Allen "core were forced to leave Belgrade and arc now in
Budapest.

REPORT
It was reported that Treasurer Buxton was getting along nicely
after an operation. In his absence Aetin- Treasurer Deane presented
the following report and on motion of Brother Bryant it was voted to
receive and file this report;
