The Board met on Monday June 10th at 5 oclock P.M. Present. Brn: Curry, Jeter, Tupper, Warren, J. B. Winston, Wortham, McDonald, Clarke, Ellyson, Watkins, Williams & Gwathmey. Prayer by Bro. Clarke. Minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer presented his monthly report as follows:-

As to this amt. $5,050 was for Drft. of Rev. G. B. Taylor for $5,000. Gold, first payment on Rome Chapel property.
The Cor. Secy. stated that letter had been received announcing the safe arrival of Bro. Yates at Shanghai, and of Bro. David at Lagos, both in greatly improved health - other letters recvd had been referred to the appropriate committees.
Applications for missionary appointment were referred to the Committee on New Missions and Missionaries.
The following was presented and adopted.
The Committee on China Missions respectfully report:
1. That the Churches of Tung Chow and Chefoo have happily united, under the name of the "Tung Chow Baptist Church" with Rev. T. P. Crawford, and the native preacher Woo as Pastors: and that the Mission have made a formal request of the Board to send to Tung Chow, Rev. Jno. H. Eager, as soon as he shall have completed his studies at the S. B. Theo. Seminary.
2. That the Rev. T. P. Crawford having applied for twelve months "leave of absence", and proposed to pay a part of his expense, the Committee recommend that his request be granted, when he thinks his station can be left with safety, and that the Treasurer be authorised to pay one half of the necessary expenses of his travels.
3. That, the Rev. E. Z. Simmons in accordance with the wishes of Rev. R. H. Graves of Canton, and his own earnest desire, be allowed to return to that station
