ing in the matter of legacy of Mrs. Mary Alexanderjto
this Board and Wake Forest Co liege. con jointly. Upon
motion of Brother Ellyson, the following was adopted —
WHEREAS, The Board approves the sug--
gestion and request made in a letter from Livingston
Johnson of Raleigh, N. C., to Dr. W. H. Smith, dated
July 14th, 1914, and filed in the records of this
office, that we deed to Mr. w. N. Whisenhurst 20 acres
of a tract of land being a part of a 180 acre tract
willed to hi3 Board and the Trustees of Wake Forest
College as remainderman,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration Of the
facts set out in said letter, be it resolved that
w. H. Smith, Corresponding Secretary, and R. R. Gwath¬
mey, Treasurer, og this Board, be and are nereby au¬
thorized and directed to convey all the right, title
and interest of this Board in 20 acres of land, lying
and being in the County of Buncombe , North Carolina,
and which is a part of a 180 acre tract willed by Geo»
N. Alexander to Mrs. Mary J. Alexander for her life,
and at her death to the Trustees of Wake Forest Col¬
lege and the Foreign Mission Board of the southern
Baptist Convention.
