Minutes of the July 12, 1899 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

Wednesday, July 12, 1899, 4 P.M. Regular meeting of Brd held at this hour. Present brn Cooper, Thornhill, H. R. Pollard, Hutson, Ellyson, Willingham, Barton, Burnett, Mathews, Bagby. In absence of Pres. Dr. Cooper called to the chair, & bro. Bagby made Secy pro tem. Cor. Secy reported: 1. Bro. E. Z. Simmons has returned & is in Texas. 2. Bro. Davis has arrived at Lagos & is now sick in hospital there. 3. Dr. J. K. Pace having removed to Ark. resigns as Vice Pres. for Miss. Same accepted. On motion Bro. E. B. Miller of West Point, Miss., elected as Vice Pres. for that state. 4. Cor. Secy, on motion, granted permission to secure a type-writer & a copying machine whenever same can be done on good terms. Treas. offered his report as follows: Receipts Balance 11008.67 Interest Maryland Fund 35. " Isaac Davis " 91. Campos Mission returned by S. L. Ginsburg 50. Gift of Mrs. Schimp on Annuity 2000.
