Rev. and "rs. C. :. McCullough sailed July 9 wit! their c> lcren from
reerort, Texas, aboard the new mission vessel, "Dorcas", for the 1500
mile voya -e to San .uidres. The boat was pure' ased with funds provided
by the ;omen of the South., and ..ill be used in their island work, UOO
: ilef west of Cartage*». .Colombia. The boat is 50 x lit feet, with
ape ocati. ns for six ndi iduals, and can. be propell ed either by sail
or rotor. This -ill mean a new day for our Baptist work in these remote
islands.
Rev. Van Earl Mu dies of San Jose, Costa ica, writes enthusiastically
about the use of full pare newspaper advertisements on "The Message of
the iaptists for the 'World." This series included a summary of our out¬
standing doctrines, presented in a very positive and forceful manner by
Pastor Adolfo Robleto. The editor was besieged by hitter protests
from the ..rchbishor. , who threatened boycott. The editor, however,
stood firm: in his position on the freedom of worship and nress guaranteed
by the constitution of Costa cica. So widespread has ..sen rha response

From Santa Maria, South Frazil, Missionary Dan Sharpley reports that
