The regular meeting of the Board was held Monday January 6." 1890 at 4 1/2 oclock p.m.
Prayer was offered by Dr. Whitfield. Present brethren Tupper, Harris, Bell, Hatcher, Cooper, Landrum, Pitt, Curry, Hutson, Pollard, Winston Clopton, Thomas, Burnett Ryland Clarke and Williams.
The minutes of last meeting were read & approved.
The Treasurer offered the following report:

The Cor. Sec'ty stated that Miss Moon would not come home this spring, being unwilling to leave her work, also that Dr. Wander is trying to increase the contributions for For. Missions in Ky.; that the State Board of Missions for N. Carolina decides to collect the contributions for F. Missions and will charge this Board for collecting $350. per annum. The letter from the State Board was referred to the Com. on Agencies.
The Cor. Secty reported a bequest from Dr. Robt. Kells of Miss. of $500 for Chinese Chapel.
The following reports were offered & adopted.
The Committee on African Missions recommend,
1. That bro. C. C. Newton be appointed Treasurer of the African Mission, as requested by bro. Eubank, who has removed to Abbeokuta [sic].
2. That thanks be returned to bro. Newton for his gift to the Board of $49, a balance due him upon Expense account.
3. That $100 be allowed bro David for January with the request that he endeavor to secure at least partial support in Miss. by pastoral or other work,
