Minutes of the January 3, 1870 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

The Board met on monday Jany 3d. 1870 at 4 oC P.M. Present. Brn: Jeter, Taylor, Dickinson, Keesee, Ellyson, A. G. Wortham, Williams, Clarke, Chambliss & Gwathmey. In the absence of the President, Bro. Jeter was called to the chair, & prayer was offered by Bro. Ellyson. Minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer reported as follows:- Dec. 1. Balance on hand $1,556.24 Receipts to Jany 3d 876.45 --------- 2432.69 Disbursed in Dec 62 22 --------- 1870. Jany 3. Balance $2370.47 Letters were reported from Brn. Yates, Graves and Hartwell of China.
