Minutes of the January 3, 1859 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

The Board met on Monday. Jany. 3rd at 7 1/2 Oclock. Present. brn: Taylor, Burrows, Thomas, Manly, Keesee, Wood & Gwathmey. In the absence of the President bro. Burrows was called to the chair. Prayer was offered by Bro. Andw. W. Broaddus, who with bro. Jno. Francis was invited to sit with the Board. Minutes of the last two meetings were read and approved. The Cor. Secy. presented the account current of Rev. J. H. Campbell, late agent in Ga., which was referred to the auditor. Letters were read from bro. Jno. Day, and other members of the Liberia Mission, which together with an account shewing the entire disbursements for the High School Building, at Monrovia, were referred to the Committee on Afrn. Missions.
