Board Roome, Friday, Jan. 29th, 1926
A called meeting of the Board was held today
at 4 P .11. in the office of Dr. bore. Dr. Love brought
to the attention of the Board the situation in Italy
affecting the liberties of our Baptist people. After
discussion, a committee, consisting of Dr. Love and Dr.
Gaines , was appointed to go to Washington for a conference
with the Veo rotary of State in reference to this matter*
On motion. Dr. Love and Brother Woodfin were
appointed a committee to give such publicity to this
matter as they may deem desirable after this conference.
Dr. Love presented the following cuts in the
budget which was referred to the Secretaire* at the
meeting, Jan.lZth, totaling $169,280.00, reducing the
budget to #1,478,720.00:

After discussion the Board approved the schedule
presented by the Secretary reducing the tentative budget
adopted at the Jan. 13th meeting.
