Minutes of the February 9, 1893 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

The regular meeting of the Board was held Thursday Feby 9" at 4 1/2 oclock P.M. The Cor. Sec. stated that the President would be present later, and on motion Dr. Whitfield was called to the chair. Present, brethren Tupper Matthews [sic] Landrum Cooper Williams, Hutson, Whitfield, Wright Winston, Thornhill, Pollard, Ellyson, Pitt, Harris and Clarke. Prayer by bro. Wright. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The Cor. Secty stated that Mrs. Yates has arrived in this country, that bro. Stone of Africa asks to be restored to his former position as missionary of this Board. Referred to Committee on African Missions. Dr. Eaton that bro. W. B. Bagby wishes a free pass on the Railroad to go to Louisville. The request was referred to the Secretary. Dr Tupper stated that he had attended the Meeting of the representatives of Missionary Boards in N.Y. Jan. 12" which was very successful and the proceedings would be published in pamphlet form.
