The President stated that bro. J. B. Winston, lately a member of the Board was very ill - that bro. Bell was absent on account of the illness of his wife, and that brethren Thomas and Ryland were absent in consequence of sickness of friends. Dr. Whitfield was requested to lead in prayer in behalf of the sick.
The Cor. Sec'ty announced that bro. Barker had presented his resignation as a missionary of this Board and, on motion his resignation was accepted.
The Cor. Sec'ty stated that bro McCormick asks for an appropriation of ___ for the native assistant, Trivino [sic]. The request was referred to the Com. on Mexican Missions, with power to act.
The Cor. Sect'y stated that bro S. J. Williams of Miss: who had applied to us for appointment, writes that he will go to Mexico on his own responsibility, and that bro Chastain wishes to attend the next meeting of the Convention - his request was referred to Com. on Mexican Missions
The Cor. Sec'ty made a statement concerning correspondence with Dr. Murdock of the Missionary Union and letters from bro. McCullum [sic], in regard to locating
