The Board met on Monday, Feby. 4th. at 7 1/2 oClock P.M. Present. Brn: Jeter, Taylor, Poindexter, E. Wortham, Keesee, Burrows, Willis, Goddin & Gwathmey.
Prayer by Bro. Willis. Minutes were read and approved. On motion the order of business was suspended, and the Com'tee to confer with brn. Poindexter & Wortham reported the following communication from Bro. Poindexter, and further stated that bro. Wortham in consideration of the same had indicated to them verbally his willingness also to withdraw his resignation.

To Brn. Jeter Seeley & Gwathmey Com'tee
To your communication requesting me on behalf of the Board to withdraw my resignation, I reply, as from what you state such appears to have been the unanimous desire of the members present at the meeting last night, I cheerfully do so.
I wish also to state that the question of a reduction of salary was being considered by the Secretaries before the introduction of the resolution on the subject, which was rejected by the Board. While I deny the right of the Board to reduce salary during the official term of its employees, yet I was willing to relinquish for the time being the increase voted last year, tho' in so doing it is due to the Board, and to myself to state my salary does not support me.
I have authority from my co-Secretary, bro. Taylor, to state the same facts for him. While therefore our salaries will remain as at present, we wish the Board to know, that while the present financial embarrassments continue, we shall collect from the Treasurer, only at the rate of $1,500 per annum. beginning from the first day of Jany. and shall receive this as full pay during the period referred to.
