Minutes of the February 19, 1901 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

Called meeting Feby 19th 1901. The Board was called to order by the President Chas. H. Winston, prayer by Brother Jno. C. Williams. Those present were Brethren Winston Willingham Williams, Thomas, Smith, Foster, Pitt. In the absence of Recording Sec. on account of sickness, Bro R. H. Pitt was made Rec. Sec. pro. tem. The Cor. Sec. explained the purpose of the meeting to be to consider a communication from Rev Manly J. Breaker concerning the application of a lady in St. Louis to place money with the Board on annuity. The report of the Finance Committee adopted at the last meeting touching this matter was on motion reconsidered and amended and adopted as follows: The Finance Committee have considered the letter of Rev M. J. Breaker in reference to the application of a lady to place with the Board $500 as an annuity for which she desires 7% interest to be paid quarterly. The case is a peculiar one, and in the judgment of the committee will warrant the payment of 7% per annum payable in quarterly instalments.
