Foreign Mission Board Rooms
February 10, 1944
The Foreign Mission Board met in regular monthly session at 4:00 P.M. on
Thursday, February 10, 1944 with President Jenkins in the chair.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Dr. Prickett.

The minutes of the January meeting were approved as read.
Dr. Maddry reported that Dr. George W. Sadler was leaving by plane on
February 11 for a visit to the Nigerian Mission. Dr. Sadler was to be accom¬
panied by Miss Ruth Kersey and

T. Griffin.
Dr. Maddry stated that he did not feel that the Foreign Mission Board diaiLd
undertake the opening of work in Alaska and recommended that the committee
appointed to consider the question be discharged.
On motion of Mr. Gwathmey it was voted to discharge the Committee to con¬
sider the opening of work in Alaska, the executive secretary having reported
for the committee, and that material concerning the work be sent to the Home
Mission Board.
Dr. Gill gave a brief report concerning the work in Latin America and read
a letter concerning the earthquake in San Juan, Argentina.
Dr. Routh gave a favorable report concerning The Commission.
On motion of Dr. Prickett it was voted to receive and file the report of
the treasurer:
