The Foreign Mission Board met in regular monthly session with Brother
Gwathmey presiding in the place of President Jenkins who was absent on
account of sickness.
The following were present: Brethren Gwathmey, Bryant, Wood, Gaines,
Coleman, Loving, Harris, Adams, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Wicker, Mrs. Atkinson and
Miss Foster; also Executive Secretary, Dr. Maddry; Assistant Executive Secre¬
tary, Miss Ford; and Home Secretary, Dr. Jones.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Brother Wade Bryant.
On request of the Executive Secretary it ms voted to examine the
missionary candidates first and have routine business later.
It ms decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes.
Rev. and Mrs. J. A. Harrington of Oklahoma, Miss Maye Bell Taylor of
Texas, and Miss Letha Myrtle Saunders of Texas came before the Board asking
for appointment to Brazil. After being questioned individually, they were
unanimously accepted. A prayer of dedication ms offered by Brother Adams.
