Board Rooms, December 8th, 1936
The Board met in regular session at 3:00 P. M. with President
Jenkins presiding.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Brother Adams.
The following were present: Mrs. Wicker, Mrs. Atkinson, Miss
Foster, Brethren Jenkins, Loving, Harris, Montague and Slaughter^; also
Executive Secretary Maddry, Assistant Executive Secretary, Miss Ford,
Field Secretary Jones and Treasurer Buxton.
Dr. Maddry made a report of his recent trip telling about going
to Texas and Oklahoma.
I In lieu of the reports of committees to the Board, the follow¬
ing recommendations by the Secretary were adopted by the Board:
That Rev. E. G. Wilcox be elected treasurer of the North Brazil
Mission.
That we grant the request of Rev. Paul C. Porter to take his
daughter back to Brazil.
That we approve the appointment of Rev. Albert W. Luper to
work in South Brazil with the following provisos: First, that the
South Brszil Mission approves his appointment and invites his return.
Second, that he passes the medical examination. Third, that his salary
and traveling expenses are provided.
That Rev. N. F. Williamson be continued on pension to January
1st, 1937, and kept on the pension list by payment of dues, until such
time as he has had opportunity to see whether the position which he
now has will be permanent.
The treasurer reported as follows:
