The minutes of the November meeting were approved as read.
Dr. Maddry reported a good trip to the Oklahoma and Texas conventions, to
Southwestern Seminary and churches in Texas. He stated that there was much
interest shown by the churches in the supporting of missionaries.
Dr. Sadler stated that the Russians in Bucharest are prepared to turn
back to this Board its property in Rumania and he requested that Mr. Peter
Belicov of Bucharest be granted Power of Attorney to act for the Board.
Dr. Sadler also stated that there has been a request for a preaching mission
to be sent to our soldiers in Europe and he requested that a committee be
appointed to recommend certain Baptist preachers who might be able to go to
Europe to preach to the soldiers, probably along with Northern Baptists.
On motion of Mr. Williams it was voted that Power of Attorney be granted
to Mr. Peter Belicov according to the suggestion of Dr. Sadler.
On motion of Dr. Adams it was voted to ask the President of the Board to
appoint a committee to interview and get the consent of a group of preachers
who might be willing to go to Europe to preach to the soldiers.
Dr. Gill stated that he and Dr. Marshall had fine interviews at the Seminary
in Louisville with candidates. He stated that $35,000 was being requested

Dr. Rankin stated that the situation in China is very serious and the ad¬
vance of the Japanese is resulting in further evacuation of our missionaries.
Because of the illness of the treasurer no report was given by him, but the
report is spread on the minutes as a matter of record.
