The regular meeting of the Board was held Monday, December 7th. at 4 1/2 oclock p.m.

The Rec. Sec. being absent, bro. Clopton was requested to act as Sec'ty pro. tem.

The Committees on Finance & Agencies report that they have authorized Bro. Carroll of Texas to employ a clerk until 1st. May at $245.
Bro. Carroll reports a legacy left the Board by Mrs. McCoy of Dallas; thought by bro Carroll to be about $10,000.
The Cor. Sec. stated that bro. Daniel of Ky. had left the Board a small legacy. He also said that the Central Committee of Va. have asked for some help to meet arrears of rent. $50 is what they need. The Home Board is willing to pay half. On motion, the matter was referred to the Finance Committee, with power to act.
Bro. Pruitt applies indirectly for allowance of salary. It is proposed by his friends, that he work in his native N. Eastern Georgia, and
On motion, it was referred to committees on Agencies and China Missions.
The Cor. Sec. stated that bro. Moseley had resigned his position in the Madero Institute. The matter was referred to Com. on Mexican Missions.
Bro. J. J. Taylor writes that he is unable to live in Rio, on $1,200. Letter referred to Com. on S. A. Missions.
Mrs. Z. C. Taylor of Bahia, who is extremely ill, has been advised by eminent physicians in Brazil,
