The regular monthly meeting of the Board was held on Monday, Augt. 4th at 4 1/2 oclock. P.M.
Present Brn: Jeter, Wortham, McDonald, Tupper, Goddin, Williams, C. H. Winston, Cottrell, Watkins, Dickinson & Gwathmey.
In the absence of the President, Bro. Jeter, V. Prest. occupied the chair.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer presented the following monthly report.

The Cor. Sec. stated that he had received intelligence of the sailing of Bro. Crawford from San Francisco on July 1: and that Bro. Geo B Taylor is at the Va. Hot Springs in improved health, & that the Executive Committees have been appointed for the several States as authorised by the Convention.
In accordance with the statement and request of the Cor. Secy. the following was adopted.
Resd. that the Cor. Secy. in the publication of his forthcoming work on Missions, be permitted to use the imprint of this Board, if on conference with the Com'tee on Publications it shall be thought expedient to do so.
The Com'tee on Finance presented the following report for information of the Board. "Since your last meeting it has been necessary to issue and have discounted the following notes.

This has been caused by payment of balance on Rome Chapel of $5,330 and the remittance to Rev. R. H. Graves of £2,000 to restore the "Home Fund," which has been expended for current expenses of the (Canton) Mission during the past two years. The remittances for the past two years being mainly for the House to be built at Canton.
Several bills presented by the Cor. Secy. amounting to $93.44 were approved, and ordered to be paid.
