Minutes of the August 13, 1937 Foreign Mission Board Meeting

Ridgecrest, , Worth Carolina, Friday, August 13th, 1937, In accordance with instructions given at the meeting of the Board held on July 28th, 1937, a called meeting of the Board was held at Ridgecrest, N. C, at 9:45, Friday, August 13th, for the purpose of examing for appointment Miss Sarah Fox and Miss Isabella Moore . There were present at this meeting the following members of the Board: Brethren Edward Willingham, Wade Bryant, F. C. Feezor, Thomas Hansen, С. C. Coleman and Miss Alta Foster. There were also present Ur. Chas. E. Maddry, R. S. Jones, Miss Jessie Ford, Dr. M. T. Andrews, Dr. С. M. Brittain, Dr. W. W. Hamilton, Rev. and Mrs. Fox, Dr. Hight C. Moore, Mrs. Boatwright, Miss ^ary Northington, Dr. Sanders, Mrs . Hendrix, Mrs. B. L. Lockett, Dr. W. 0. Carver, Dr. Boone, Miss Hannah Plowden, W. H. Williams, Dr. Bass, and C. W. Wall. Miss Fox was examined first and after a thorough examination by Dr. Maddry and others, motion was made by Dr. Andrews and seconded by Dr. Hansen, that she be appointed as a missionary to Palestine. This motion was passed unanimously. Miss Isabella Moore was then examined and motion was made by Dr. Hight C. Moore that Miss Moore be appointed as a missionary to Nigeria, Africa. This motion was passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned with prayer.
