The Foreign Mission Board met in Conventionwide semiannual session, April 8-10, 1968,
in Richmond, Virginia, with Dr. W. Morris Ford, the Board's president, presiding.

A dinner was held in the Large Green Room, at the Holiday Inn West, 6:30 p.m., April 8,
1968. Board members, State Executive Secretaries, and Administrative Staff of the
Board were invited. There were seventy- four people in attendance.
Dr. Cauthen led a group discussion on the theme: "Financing Foreign Missions." Each
of the four area secretaries participated in giving a survey of how funds for the
support of foreign missions are channeled and appropriated for mission fields in which
Southern Baptists have established work.
There was a preview of a film, "For Many Tomorrows," prepared by the Board's Division
of Visual Education.
The state executive secretaries were cordially invited to attend the committee session
of their choice, during the meeting of the Board.
Mr. Blake Woolbright, a Board member from California, pronounced the Benediction.
The Foreign Mission Board resumed its meeting at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 1968.
Board members went directly to their respective committee meetings.
A RECESS was held, 10:00 - 10:15 a.m. Coffee was served in the Board's parlor.
A Motion Picture Premier, "Giants in the Land," was presented by Fon H. Scofield, Jr.,
10:45 - 11:30 a.m.
A tour of the Computer Area was conducted by William K. Dawson, the Board's manager,
Information Processing Systems, 11:30 - 12:15 noon.
The Committee on Missionary Education and Promotion and the Committee on Missionary
Personnel held luncheon meetings, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m., at the William Byrd Motor Hotel
and the Holiday Inn West, respectively.
Afternoon sessions were resumed, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. These sessions included the Examina¬
tion of Candidates by four committees, composed of members of the Board.
