The Board met in semi-annual session in the Board Rooms on Tues¬
day, April 21st, at 9:30 A. M. Due to sickness, President L. Howard
Jenkins was absent, and Vice-President J. H. Anderson, of Tennessee,
presided.
The opening devotional period was conducted by Brother Claud B.
Bowen, newly elected Educational Secretary of the Foreign Mission Board.

Brother M. T. Rankin, Secretary for the Orient, made a verbal
report of conditions, problems and outlook for our work in the Orient.
Brother W. C. Taylor, Secretary for Latin America, made a verbal
report for Latin America, giving conditions and prospects as he saw them
in this vast field.
On recommendation of the Appointment Committee, the following
appeared before the Board for examination and were appointed as mission¬
