The regular monthly meeting of the Board was held on Monday, Apl. 1. at 7 1/2 oclock.
Present. Brn. Jeter, Wilson, Tupper, A. G. Wortham, Watkins, Williams, E. Wortham, Snead, Ellyson, Dickinson, Goddin, Winston & Gwathmey.
In the absence of the President, Bro. Wilson was called to the chair. Prayer by Bro. Ellyson.
The minutes of the two last meetings were read & approved.

The Cor. Sec. presented letters from Dr. & Mrs. A. D. Gillette, also from Brn. Yates, Crawford and Cote.
A letter was received from Bro. E. E. Blackwell, applying for appointment as Agent in Texas, which was referred to the Com'tee on Agencies.
A letter from Bro. B. P. Yates was read, and referred to the Committee on African Missions.

The Comtee on Agencies presented a report, which was amended and adopted as follows:
The Com'tee on Agencies to whom were referred the application of Bro. J. M. Chambers, and the accounts of Bro. C. M. Irwin District Secretary in Ga beg leave to report:- 1st That Bro. Chambers being highly recommended by Dr. Tichenor and others we advised his appointment as Agent for West Tennessee at the compensation of one third of his collections, until his salary shall be $800, and then one fifth of his collections, with travelling expenses. The Cor. Sec. notified him of his appointment on 14th of March.
2d. With regard to Bro. Irwin's account, it appears that his salary is greatly in excess of his collections, and the Com'tee would suggest, that the Board await the next meeting of the Georgia State Convention, to decide by the developments there of Bro. Irwins [sic] plan
