AFRICA Letter from Rev. B. J. Drayton MONROVIA, Aug. 20, 1857. Dear Bro. Taylor: Our interest at Palmas is growing finely. The school is in fine operation — some thirty children as members. The Sabbath school connected with the church is alive and progresses encouragingly. I am happy to inform you, that the natives are quite reconciled,— church going, calling out for teachers and preachers, and are very much inclined to receive instruction. I have had a visit from my old associates, the native children. They are obedient, and appear to have a stronger interest in our cause than before.
