Dear llrolher :
Though I am unacquainted with you in
person — yet the Lord of Heaven and
earth who is present everywhere in whom
, I trust — will enable you to receive of this
' epistle; it is
Пот
your Brother Choctaw, of
' thu Choctaw Nation. I would had inform
you of
ту
before this time, but I
was ignore nt of my duty heretofore —
also, I do not know where to direct my
letters, in cousequenae of which I did
notTopmt myself last year's labours last
jear, in IS,::). I have been travel as
ii-ual, hut not so much so as I ever done
in one year — though under iny instru¬
ment in preaching, six persons, men and
women, were added into the church of
God, that is the Baptist Church of this
neighborhood, which is newly organize to
lie call Aberdeen Church of the Choctaw
Nation; and many more promising. I
hope the Lord of harvest will »cnd more
labourer into Ibis his vinyard. I have re¬
ceived one hundred dollars under your
direction on the 3d day ol this month,
which I have been looking for it. Some
time it was promis to me by Aberdeen
Association— in 18.) I. It was much of
need when it came to my hand— if they
would send me another draft of one him-
■'red dollars, for the services done in 183.5,
they would make my body stronger to
travel this year. For the time are hard
here, more -o than any where of the
lord’" vinyard. And the churches of this
nation are weak yet, to do us any accom-
modalion.
IVehave been depending on our own
means: neither did wc look from them
any things. Yet wc intend to preach to
them the’ word of life, while we arc chosen
to preach Christ and him crucified.
It seem Haptist Missionary School at •

but if you demanded of your right to it
you can restoree again— because the gene¬
ral council of the Choctaw Nation has "
established and give it up to the . Baptise

any one or two individual has any right
to stop here and give to another church.
I was present when the trustees made
