Reaching SOUTH ASIA with the Gospel is a God¬
sized task that needs lots of prayer. South Asia is
home to one of every four lost persons on earth.
With 873 lost people per square mile, the South Asian
subcontinent, which includes India, Pakistan, Bangla¬
desh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maidive Islands,
is home to the greatest concentration of lost souls on the
planet - 1.4 billion. Add to this the sobering fact that
South Asia adds a "Canada" in population growth each
year. Yet, God is not overwhelmed by this task! He has
given us a vision of what it will take to win millions of
South Asians into His kingdom. The 345 Initiative is an
evangelism and church-planting movement strategy
based on reaching 345 unengaged, unreached people
groups in South Asia with a population of more than
100,000 each. Included in that strategy are plans to reach
an additional 181 unengaged, unreached peo¬
ple groups of less than 100,000 called
micro-groups. This means the unen¬
gaged, unreached people groups in
South Asia have a population of
more than 400 million people.
That's larger than the U.S. popu¬
lation. Your prayers this month
will play a vital role in seeing
God's plan bear fruit. As you learn
about various aspects of the 345 Initi¬
ative, ask God how He wants you to be
involved. We cannot do it without you!

SOUTH ASIA 345 INITIATIVE. Every cause needs a
“champion. The unengaged, unreached people groups of
South Asia need champions - to be their advocate, to be
the driving force in cooperation with the Holy Spirit to see
the Gospel carried to their homes and communities. A
major part of the 345 Initiative is to identify, mobilize and
equip champions for each unengaged, unreached people
group. We may never have enough IMB personnel to
reach our goals, but working with our national brothers
and sisters will broaden the scope of influence. Ask God to
help us identify potential South Asian national champions
and church-planting movement catalysts and to develop
networks of encouragement and accountability among
international strategy coordinators working in close prox¬
imity to the unengaged, unreached people groups. Ask
God to call out five IMB representatives to relate to national
church-planting movement catalysts.

MUNICH, GERMANY. Munich is a beautiful, world-class
“city and one of the most prosperous cities in Europe. It is
the capital of Bavaria and is located in southern Germany
about 30 miles north of the Alps. Munich has a population of
about 1.3 million, with approximately 2.5 million living
within the greater Munich area. It is an international city
with a quarter of its inhabitants coming from other coun¬
tries. Munich is traditionally Catholic but has become quite
secular. Although the number of Muslims continues to
increase, many people are leaving the Catholic and Lutheran
churches every year. There are few evangelical Christians in
the city. Most of the people in Munich live in spiritual dark¬
ness and do not know the hope that they can have in Jesus.
Please pray for the evangelization of the people of Munich.
H CELTIC-SPEAKING PEOPLES OF WESTERN EUROPE
**(KEL-teek). The Celtic Languages Team asks: "Pray for
more workers for the harvest here. There are five or six
people seriously considering coming to serve among the
Celtic-speaking people groups. Pray for discernment and
guidance for all involved."
RIBULGARIA (bul-GAR-ee-uhn) . "Praise our glorious
•■Father!" writes the Unreached Peoples of the Balkans
Team. "For over a year, we have prayed for a national strate¬
gic church planter to be found for the work among the
Pomaks (Bulgarian Muslims). The Lord has now put this man
and our team together. Thank you for your prayers, and give
praise and thanks to the Father for providing a Bulgarian to
lead the work among the Bulgarian Muslims. Pray for him to
continue to grow in the Lord and to have a growing passion
and vision for reaching the Pomaks with the Good News of
our Savior. Ask the Lord to continue to prepare the hearts of
the people to accept His salvation. Ask Him to start many
churches as a result of this man's service and dedication."
H SOUTH ASIA 345 INITIATIVE. More people live in
“India than in all of North America, Central America and
South America combined! Of the 345 unengaged,
unreached people groups with population of more than
100,000 in South Asia, 325 are in India. All 181 micro¬
groups also live in India. It is vital that Indian strategy
coordinators be identified and equipped to reach their own
people. Ask God to speak to Indian Christians about the
role they might play in spreading the Gospel across the
country. Pray that Indian strategy coordinators will step
forward with a passion for Christ and a Holy Spirit-fueled
desire to reach the lost people groups of India. Pray for
